Complaints Procedure
If you have a complaint about the school the following procedures are set up to try to resolve the problem.
Initial Discussion
If you are concerned about a matter, please discuss it with the class teacher or the Key Stage Manager, (depending on the issue). This will give you the opportunity to discuss in private, at a mutually convenient time, your worries or complaint We would urge you to come to us sooner rather than later so that we can tackle the problem in its earliest stages. It is hoped that most matters can be resolved at this stage.
Written Complaint
If the issue is not resolved through the initial discussion, you should put your complaint in writing to the Principal. The matter will be investigated by the Vice Principal and you will receive a response in writing. You will also be offered the opportunity to discuss the response with the Headteacher.
Complaint to the Governing Body
If you are not happy with the response to your written complaint you should write to the Chair of the Governing Body, who can be contacted through the School Office in writing.
The Chair of the Governing Body will then ask the relevant committee to investigate the complaint. When the matter has been investigated you will be informed in writing of the Governors’ decision and any action taken. If you are still not happy with the outcome, the Governing Body will advise you of the next steps.
In all cases the Principal and Governing Body would aim to work together to arrive at a speedy resolution.
