Admissions

There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admissions area. In the event of oversubscription places will be allocated using the following criteria in the order given:

  1. children ‘Looked After’;
  2. children living within the catchment area (list available at the school);
  3. children with a brother or sister currently attending the school in Years R-5;
  4. where there are medical grounds for admission (with supporting evidence);
  5. remaining applications;

In the event of oversubscription in any of the above categories propriety will be given to those who live closest to the school measures by straight line distance.

Additionally, if an application is made for a child with a Statement of Special Educational needs and that Statement names Charles Warren Academy, the Governors are required to admit that child subject to The Department for Education Code of Practice on academy admissions.

Late applications will be dealt with in line with the Milton Keynes co-ordination of admissions.

Admission Appeals
